Another Fall Outing

After a week's raining, it's finally clear up yesterday. We decided to have another fall outing before all leaves are gone. We didn't go far this time. We heard about Washington Landing which is on a island near Pittsburgh downtown. So we went to explore this island. The island gets its name because of a historical story: George Washington slept on this island in 1753 when his raft tipped over in the Allegheny River while on a diplomatic mission to the French near Lake Erie.

It was an enjoyable outing and we took a few pictures to share with you. I added them to my Fall Color album.
